Providence man arrested on larceny, domestic violence charges

PROVIDENCE — Rhode Island State Police arrested a Providence man Tuesday night on multiple charges including larceny and domestic violence.

Troopers from the Lincoln Woods Barracks arrested Peter Decosta, 53, of 495 Plainfield Street, Providence, at 10 p.m. following a motor vehicle stop on Woodward Road in Providence.

Decosta was arrested on an affidavit and arrest warrant issued by the North Providence Police Department.

The charges include larceny from a person with domestic violence and violation of a no contact order.

After processing at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, Decosta was transferred to the custody of the North Providence Police Department.
