MERIDEN — A 34-year-old man has been arrested in connection with three armed robberies and a burglary that occurred in December, according to Meriden police.
Anthony Pagano was charged with multiple counts including first-degree robbery and burglary after police linked him to incidents at Family Dollar, Colony Gas Mart, and Village Liquor Mart.
Police said a knife was used in each robbery, and money was stolen from the businesses.
Investigators also connected Pagano to a burglary at Logan Steel, where a vehicle was stolen that matched the description of one used during the robberies.
Members of the Crime Suppression Unit identified Pagano as the suspect in the cases.
At the time of the arrest, Pagano was already incarcerated on an unrelated robbery charge after being apprehended by Wallingford Police Department.
Pagano, born October 11, 1990, faces two counts of first-degree robbery, two counts of sixth-degree larceny, one count of attempted first-degree robbery, one count of attempted sixth-degree larceny, third-degree burglary, fourth-degree larceny, and larceny of a motor vehicle.
He is being held on a $600,000 court-set bond.
