Kirkland man arrested for violating order of protection

WESTMORELAND — A Kirkland man was arrested after allegedly violating an order of protection, according to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol.

Jason J. Eaton, 48, was charged with one count of criminal contempt in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor.

Deputies from the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol Division responded to a residence in the Town of Westmoreland at 10:30 a.m. on May 13 regarding a complaint about a previous domestic incident.

Upon arrival, deputies determined that Eaton had violated an existing order of protection that was in place to protect the reporting party.

Following their investigation, deputies arrested Eaton and transported him to the Kurt Wyman Law Enforcement Building for booking and processing.

Eaton is currently being held at the Oneida County Correctional Facility awaiting centralized arraignment.
