SOMERS — A Croton-on-Hudson man faces multiple charges after allegedly stalking his ex-girlfriend and violating a court order of protection, New York State Police announced Tuesday.

Ralph V. Sedlmayer, 39, was arrested following an investigation that began April 28 when the victim reported a near-collision with a vehicle she believed was driven by her ex-boyfriend.

State Police investigators determined Sedlmayer had been operating the vehicle and was observed near the victim on multiple occasions.

Investigators also discovered Sedlmayer had created a social media account to contact the victim, further violating the temporary order of protection.

Sedlmayer was charged with criminal contempt in the first degree, a class E felony, along with misdemeanor counts of stalking, harassment and menacing.

Following his arraignment in Somers Town Court, Sedlmayer was remanded to Westchester County Jail on $750 cash bail.

He is scheduled to appear in North Salem Town Court on May 19 at 5 p.m.
