OSWEGO — A Syracuse woman faces multiple felony charges after police seized crack cocaine during a traffic stop in Oswego.
Officers from the Oswego Police Department’s Patrol Division and Neighborhood Engagement Team conducted the stop on May 7, leading to the arrest of Shawntell L. Rush, 41.
During the investigation, police seized approximately 16.5 grams of crack cocaine, $302 in U.S. currency, and various drug paraphernalia.
Rush was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, a class B felony, and criminal possession of a narcotic drug in the fourth degree, a class C felony.
Additional charges include two counts of tampering with physical evidence, a class E felony, obstructing governmental administration in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor, criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor, and resisting arrest, a class A misdemeanor.
