PRINCETOWN — State Police arrested a Schenectady woman Tuesday on felony grand larceny charges after she allegedly stole more than $50,000 from her employer.

Gina L. Luby, 53, was charged with second-degree grand larceny, a class C felony.

Troopers began investigating on Feb. 11 after receiving a complaint from a Duanesburg business reporting a theft.

The investigation revealed that Luby, who had been employed in the company’s accounting department since January 2020, allegedly overpaid herself multiple times without authorization between January 2022 and December 2023.

Authorities arrested Luby at her Schenectady home and transported her to the State Police barracks in Princetown for processing.

She was later taken to the Schenectady County Correctional Facility where she awaits arraignment.
