NORWICH — A Preston resident was arrested Sunday after allegedly stealing merchandise from a local business, according to the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office.
Kaleb F. McEwan, 20, was charged with petit larceny following a brief investigation by sheriff’s deputies.
Authorities responded after the business reported the theft on May 4.
Deputies identified McEwan as the suspect and later located him at his residence in Preston, where he was taken into custody without incident.
McEwan was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Town of Norwich Court at a later date.
