EAST FISHKILL — A Manhattan man was arrested on multiple felony drug charges after police discovered MDMA and fentanyl pills during a traffic stop on the Taconic State Parkway.
Members of the Troop K Community Stabilization Unit conducted the stop on May 12 at approximately 2:30 p.m. when they observed a 2000 Honda with violations of New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law.
The driver, identified as Anyelo L. Santiago, 37, of Manhattan, was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
During the investigation, officers conducted a consent search and vehicle inventory, which yielded approximately 111.0 grams of 3,4-Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA) and 66.2 grams of blue fentanyl pills.
Santiago was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 2nd Degree, a Class A-II Felony, and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree, both Class B Felonies.
Following his arraignment in East Fishkill Court, Santiago was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail without bail.
