ST. JOHNSBURY — A 27-year-old St. Johnsbury man was arrested on a domestic assault charge after turning himself in to police, authorities said.
Angel Morales Cordova appeared at the St. Johnsbury Police Department and was taken into custody on a warrant issued for domestic assault, according to police.
The arrest followed an investigation that began on May 9 at 10 a.m. when officers responded to a domestic assault call at Cote Court.
Police said they attempted to locate Cordova throughout the weekend before he eventually turned himself in.
Cordova was transferred to the Department of Corrections after failing to post $500 bail.
He is scheduled to appear in Caledonia Superior Court on Monday, May 12, at 12:30 p.m. to answer to the charges.
