BUFFALO — Erie County Sheriff John C. Garcia announced the arrest of David Forcucci, 46, of Buffalo, following a joint operation involving the Erie County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics and Intelligence Unit and Erie County Probation.
On May 9, at approximately 12:20 p.m., Erie County Probation, assisted by the ECSO Narcotics and Intelligence Unit, conducted a home visit and search for probationer Forcucci at his residence on Culver Road in Buffalo.
Forcucci was located outside the residence and detained without incident.
During the search of the residence and Forcucci’s person, authorities discovered a quantity of suspected methamphetamine and an illegally possessed Eastern Arms Company 16-gauge shotgun.
Forcucci, who was convicted of third-degree burglary on Nov. 2, 2023, is also the restricted party on two separate Erie County Orders of Protection that prohibit him from possessing weapons.
Three daggers were also found during the search.
Forcucci was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon (previous conviction), a Class D felony; fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon (felon in possession of a rifle/shotgun), a Class A misdemeanor; seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a Class A misdemeanor; and two counts of second-degree criminal contempt for disobeying an order of protection, a Class A misdemeanor.
He was also charged with violation of probation.
Forcucci was remanded to the Erie County Holding Center pending arraignment and remains in custody as of May 13.
