Berkshire man arrested on warrant after property damage incident

BERKSHIRE — Vermont State Police arrested a 41-year-old Berkshire man Monday after responding to a report of property damage at a residence on Route 105.

Sidney Pecor Jr. was taken into custody after allegedly causing property damage at 2710 VT RT 105 and fleeing the scene, according to police.

Troopers located Pecor on Route 105 near Route 118 following the incident, which was reported at approximately 5:27 p.m.

Authorities discovered Pecor had an active arrest warrant for burglary with bail set at $2,500.

Pecor was transported to Northwest Correctional Facility where he was lodged on the warrant.

He was also issued a citation to appear in Franklin County Superior Court on July 15 at 8:30 a.m. for the offense of unlawful mischief.
