AVON — Two Rochester residents face felony charges after allegedly stealing multiple jet skis and trailers from locations in Livingston County, authorities said.

Nestor Modesto Ramos Vazquez, 24, and Norberto Jose Vazquez Suarez, 19, were each charged with two counts of grand larceny in the third degree following their arrests on May 9.

The investigation began April 26 when Livingston County sheriff’s deputies responded to Marks Leisure Time Marina in Avon and two residences in Livonia for reports of stolen watercraft and trailers.

A total of four jet skis and three trailers were reported stolen during the incidents.

Through their investigation, sheriff’s investigators recovered three jet skis and two trailers from a residence in Rochester.

The investigation remains ongoing as authorities attempt to locate the remaining jet ski and trailer.

Both suspects were processed at the Livingston County Jail and arraigned at the Livingston County Centralized Arraignment Part before Village of Mt. Morris Justice Finnegan.

The judge released both men on their own recognizance, as the charges do not qualify for bail under the New York State Bail Reform Act.

The Livingston County Public Defender’s Office represented the defendants at arraignment, while the District Attorney’s Office represented the prosecution.
