Richford man arrested on warrant at vacant property

RICHFORD — Vermont State Police arrested a local man on an outstanding warrant Sunday evening after responding to reports of suspicious activity at a vacant property on Center Street.

Troopers from the St. Albans Barracks arrived at the location at approximately 6:50 p.m. on May 11 where they observed multiple individuals on the property.

Among those present was Jonathan Johnson, 42, of Richford, who was known to have an active arrest warrant for operating a vehicle with a suspended license, a misdemeanor violation of 23 VSA 674(a)(1).

Johnson was taken into custody and transported to Northwest State Correctional Facility where he was held on $200 bail.

He was issued a citation to appear before the Franklin County Superior Court – Criminal Division at 1 p.m. on May 12 to answer to the charge related to the warrant.
