YARMOUTH — Yarmouth Police arrested an 18-year-old Buzzards Bay man following an armed home invasion in West Yarmouth late Saturday night.
Officers responded to a West Yarmouth address after receiving reports of an armed home invasion.
Upon arrival, police observed splintered wood scattered on the ground near a doorway that appeared to have been kicked in.
According to authorities, a man had been knocking on the door demanding entry before kicking it in, entering the home, displaying a gun, and then leaving the premises.
The resident was not injured during the incident.
Officers later converged on a Washington Street residence where they believed the suspect was located.
After calling all occupants out of the house, police identified and arrested Drayden Deberry, 18, of Buzzards Bay.
Deberry was charged with Entering the Home of Another While Armed with a Dangerous Weapon.
