OLEAN — Three Olean residents were arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop that yielded methamphetamine, fentanyl and drug paraphernalia, according to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.
Adam J. Sullivan, 35, was taken into custody at approximately 1:13 a.m. on May 12.
Aaron M. Menter, 36, and Tisha K. Hein, 19, were arrested shortly after at approximately 1:34 a.m.
The arrests occurred after deputies stopped a vehicle on N. 13th St. for multiple traffic violations.
Sullivan consented to a search of his person, which revealed 2.3 grams of suspected methamphetamine in his shorts pocket, officials said.
A subsequent vehicle search yielded 30.7 grams of suspected methamphetamine, a quantity of suspected fentanyl, packaging materials, drug paraphernalia and a switchblade knife.
All three individuals were transported to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office for processing before being arraigned in Olean City Court.
Sullivan was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the second degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree with intent to sell, criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second degree and not wearing a seatbelt.
Menter faces the same drug charges as Sullivan, plus criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree and multiple traffic violations including failure to keep right, failure to stop from an alley/driveway/private road and not wearing a seatbelt.
Hein was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the second degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree with intent to sell and criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second degree.
All three were released on their own recognizance and are scheduled to appear in Olean City Court at a later date.
