OLEAN — A traffic stop in the early morning hours of May 10 led to the arrest of two individuals on drug possession charges, according to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.
Jessica A. Dodge-Gardner, 47, of Cuba, and Timothy G. Polites, 63, of Grampain, PA, were taken into custody at approximately 1:37 a.m. following a traffic stop on S. Union St. in Olean.
Deputies initially stopped Dodge-Gardner for multiple vehicle and traffic law violations.
Following an investigation, Dodge-Gardner consented to a vehicle search, which revealed quantities of suspected fentanyl and crack cocaine, along with packaging materials and drug paraphernalia in her possession.
Polites was found to be in possession of Buprenorphine pills during the search.
Both individuals were transported to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office Olean Substation for processing.
Dodge-Gardner was charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd Degree, Operating an Unregistered Motor Vehicle, and having an Obstructed Plate.
Polites was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree.
Both suspects were released on appearance tickets and are scheduled to appear in Olean City Court at a later date.
