NORRIDGEWOCK — The Somerset County Sheriff’s Office executed a drug search warrant at a Madison Road residence Friday at 5:30 a.m., resulting in two arrests and the seizure of illegal drugs and a firearm.
The search warrant was obtained after a month-long investigation into alleged drug sales from the home of Leeanna Gosselin, 32, according to the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office.
Five sheriff’s detectives, five patrol deputies, and two detectives from the Waterville Police Department participated in the operation.
Authorities discovered several grams of crack cocaine and fentanyl, digital scales, a firearm, drug-related documentation, paraphernalia, and possible stolen property during the search.
Gosselin was arrested and charged with two counts of unlawful furnishing of scheduled drugs and violation of conditions of release, all Class C crimes.
Officials noted Gosselin was already on bail for two counts of aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs stemming from a February 27 search warrant executed at the same residence.
Aaron Lewis, 23, of the Bronx, New York, was also arrested on an outstanding warrant for unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs from Kennebec County.
Lewis faces additional charges of two counts of unlawful furnishing of scheduled drugs and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person due to prior felony convictions in New York.
Both suspects are being held without bail with initial court appearances scheduled for September 3 at the Somerset County Unified Criminal Court.
