WATERBURY — Police arrested a 36-year-old man on multiple drug and weapons charges following a raid at a Giles Street residence Thursday morning.
Jacquise Henry of Waterbury was taken into custody after several police units executed a search and seizure warrant at 96 Giles St. Second Floor around 11:45 a.m. on May 1.
Officers from the VICE and Intelligence Unit, Auto Theft Task Force, Gang Task Force, and Crime Prevention Unit participated in the operation.
During the search, police seized a Winchester 12-gauge shotgun, ammunition, 2,000 bags of heroin, drug paraphernalia and $1,043 in U.S. currency.
Henry, a convicted felon prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition, faces multiple charges including criminal possession of a firearm/ammunition and possession of an ounce or more of heroin/fentanyl.
Additional charges include operating a drug factory, illegal sale or transfer of a firearm, operating a motor vehicle under suspension, improper use of marker plates and insufficient insurance.
Henry remains in the custody of the Connecticut Department of Corrections on a $1,000,000 bond.
