TROY, NY — Troy police officers arrested a 31-year-old Halfmoon man on multiple charges including weapon possession after finding a loaded handgun during a traffic stop.
On Friday, May 2, at approximately 6:40 p.m., third platoon patrol officers observed a subject in a vehicle who was wanted by Troy detectives.
Patrol officers pulled the vehicle over and notified detectives.
Detectives, acting on a search warrant, searched the vehicle and found a loaded handgun.
Gladstone Greenwood, 31, of Halfmoon, was arrested and held at the Troy Police Department before being arraigned in Troy City Court the following morning.
He was sent to Rensselaer County Jail with bail.
Greenwood faces multiple charges including assault in the third degree, robbery in the third degree, grand larceny in the fourth degree, criminal mischief in the second degree, criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree – loaded firearm, and criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree.
