Providence man arrested for DUI, driving with suspended license

PROVIDENCE — A Providence man was arrested early Tuesday on multiple charges including driving under the influence after a traffic stop on Route 6 East.

Troopers from the Scituate Barracks arrested Jeraldy Montalvan, 22, of Providence at 1:35 a.m.

Montalvan was charged with driving under the influence of liquor with blood alcohol content unknown, first offense.

He was also charged with driving after denial, revocation, or suspension for certain violations.

The third charge was refusal to submit to a chemical test, first offense.

Following the arrest, Montalvan was transported to State Police Headquarters where he was processed and held overnight as a bail violator.

He is scheduled for morning arraignment at Sixth Division District Court.
