Poultney woman injured in crash on rainy Route 30

POULTNEY — A 23-year-old Poultney woman sustained minor injuries after her vehicle struck a rock wall on Route 30 North near Calvin Lane on Friday.

Elizabeth Tetreault was driving a 2022 Toyota Rav4 northbound at approximately 12:10 p.m. when she failed to maintain her lane of travel, according to Vermont State Police.

Troopers from the Rutland Barracks responded to the scene after receiving notification of the single-vehicle crash.

Investigators determined that Tetreault’s vehicle exited the right side of the roadway before colliding with the rock wall.

The crash resulted in moderate damage to the right fender and headlight of the Toyota.

Tetreault, who was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, was transported to Rutland Regional Medical Center with suspected minor injuries.

Road conditions were wet but clear at the time of the incident, with rain falling in the area.

Poultney Rescue Squad and Poultney Fire Department assisted state police at the scene.
