PAWTUCKET — Police arrested 10 people and seized drugs and a firearm after executing a search warrant at a Main Street residence that had been the subject of numerous complaints from area businesses and residents.
The Pawtucket Police Department’s Narcotics Unit, with assistance from the Patrol Division and K9 Unit, conducted the court-authorized search at 907 Main Street on May 8 following a month-long investigation into alleged cocaine and fentanyl distribution.
According to police, the residence was being used as a drug “trap house” with numerous customers and dealers observed entering and exiting throughout day and evening hours.
Complaints received by the police department included people urinating, drinking alcohol, defecating, and using illegal substances in public areas around the residence.
During the search, detectives seized a .38 caliber Smith & Wesson revolver, approximately 10 grams of crack cocaine, digital scales, cutting agents, packaging material, and numerous used syringes.
Among those arrested was Denia Maria Gonzalez, 25, charged with possession of cocaine and maintaining a common nuisance.
Herman Mendes-Moreira, 26, was charged with visiting a common nuisance.
Melissa Wagel, 45, faces charges of possession of cocaine and maintaining a common nuisance.
Alexandre Dafonseca, 54, was charged with visiting a common nuisance.
Jennifer Perito, 41, was charged with possession of cocaine, maintaining a common nuisance, and had a bench warrant for failure to appear.
Michael Trombley, 34, faces identical charges to Perito: possession of cocaine, maintaining a common nuisance, and a bench warrant for failure to appear.
Karliff Bowman, 39, was charged with possession of cocaine and visiting a common nuisance.
Jose Nobre, 42, was charged with visiting a common nuisance.
Jason Gamboa, 31, faces charges of carrying a pistol without a license or permit, visiting a common nuisance, and possession of cocaine.
Jason Pedro, 39, was charged with maintaining a common nuisance.
