OLEAN — A Little Genesee man was arrested on drug possession charges following a traffic stop in Olean early Friday morning.
Michael P. Scholl, 47, was taken into custody at 12:38 a.m. on May 9 after being pulled over on East State Street for multiple vehicle and traffic violations, according to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.
During the investigation, Scholl consented to a search of his person, which revealed a quantity of suspected crack cocaine.
Scholl was transported to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office Olean Substation for processing.
He was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, operating an uninspected motor vehicle, having no or inadequate muffler, and operating a motor vehicle with broken glass.
Scholl was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Olean City Court at a later date.
