PALMYRA — A Pittsford man was arrested after allegedly damaging a marked police vehicle in the village of Palmyra.
William C. Fabian, 29, of Northgate Street, Pittsford, was charged with criminal mischief in the second degree, a class D felony, following an investigation by the Palmyra Police Department.
According to Officer R. Lewis, on April 19 at approximately 5:55 a.m., Fabian was observed on camera driving to the Palmyra Police Department at 144 East Main St. and intentionally damaging a marked patrol car parked in the lot.
The suspect initially drove away before returning to cause further damage to the vehicle.
Police report the total damage to the patrol car exceeded $1,500.
Investigators identified the suspect vehicle, which led them to Fabian.
Authorities noted they had no previous interactions with Fabian, and the motive for the vandalism remains unknown.
Fabian was arrested on April 29 and transported to the Wayne County Jail to await CAPS court arraignment.
