WILTON — State Police arrested a New York man Friday on charges of assault and child endangerment after investigating reports of child mistreatment.
Cody M. Falconio, 31, of Northumberland, was charged with assault in the second degree and endangering the welfare of a child.
Troopers received information at approximately 4:16 p.m. Friday reporting the mistreatment of a child.
The investigation determined that on Thursday, Falconio allegedly grabbed a child under the age of one year in a manner considered to be injurious.
Falconio was processed at the State Police Wilton station following his arrest.
He was arraigned at the Moreau Town Court where he posted $5,000 bail.
