GREENWICH — A man was arrested Wednesday evening after allegedly following two juvenile females into a Starbucks on Greenwich Avenue, police said.

Officers responded to the coffee shop at approximately 7:03 p.m. following reports that two juvenile females were being followed by an unknown male.

Upon arrival, police encountered Kevin R. Morris, who matched the description provided by witnesses.

During questioning, Morris appeared confused and was uncertain about how long he had been in the store or if he had made a purchase.

Witnesses contradicted Morris’ claims, telling officers that he had not made any purchases and had entered the store after following the juveniles inside.

The juveniles had informed store staff they felt frightened after observing Morris follow them from a nearby ice cream shop.

Store employees escorted the visibly upset juveniles to the back room for safety while awaiting police arrival.

Staff reported that Morris went directly to the restroom upon entering Starbucks and remained there until confronted by management.

During the investigation, Morris admitted to following the juveniles and made an inappropriate remark about his behavior in the store bathroom.

Morris was arrested and charged with breach of peace in the second degree under Connecticut General Statutes 53a-181.

He was held on a $50,000 bond to be posted only at court and was assigned a court date at Stamford Superior Court.
