HOOSICK FALLS — The Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Unit executed two narcotics-related search warrants within 24 hours, resulting in multiple arrests on drug and weapon charges.
Jeffrey C. Shaw, 44, of Yonkers, was arrested on May 8 following an investigation into the sale of crack cocaine.
A search warrant executed at 59 Classic Street in the Village of Hoosick Falls yielded approximately 50 grams of crack cocaine, digital scales, packaging materials, and $1,384 in U.S. currency.
The Hoosick Falls Police Department and a Troy Police Department K9 officer with K9 partner Norbi provided support during the operation.
Shaw faces two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, a Class B Felony, along with one count each of Obstructing Governmental Administration and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia, both Class A Misdemeanors.
Following his arraignment in Hoosick Village Court before Judge Thomas Restino, Jr., Shaw was remanded to the Rensselaer County Jail without bail due to prior felony drug convictions.
