FALL RIVER — Fall River police arrested two repeat offenders Thursday during separate operations targeting drug trafficking and illegal firearms, according to authorities.
Members of the city’s Community Action Support Team (C.A.S.T.) executed a search warrant at a Bank Street residence at 10 a.m., where they apprehended 45-year-old Angel Alvarado.
Detectives seized approximately 28.35 grams of fentanyl and 18.58 grams of crack cocaine during the operation.
Alvarado faces charges of trafficking heroin/morphine/opium (18 grams or more, less than 36 grams) and trafficking cocaine (18 grams or more, less than 36 grams).
This marks Alvarado’s second drug trafficking arrest in six months, following a December 11, 2024, incident where police seized 25.94 grams of crack cocaine and 6.7 grams of fentanyl.
In a separate operation Thursday, C.A.S.T. detectives and the Emergency Services Unit executed a search warrant at a Quarry Street address.
The warrant targeted a 15-year-old juvenile, resulting in the discovery of a 3D-printed 9mm “ghost gun” loaded with six live rounds in the juvenile’s bedroom.
The juvenile faces charges of possession of a large capacity firearm, possession of a firearm without an LTC/FID, and possession of ammunition without an FID.
This is the juvenile’s second firearm-related arrest in four months, following a January 10 incident where the teen was found with a Springfield XDS 9mm and subsequently released with GPS monitoring.
