EXETER — A local man was arrested Tuesday after authorities discovered he had violated a protection order during a two-car crash.

Michael V. Andreoli, 39, of Exeter, was charged with criminal contempt in the second degree, according to the Otsego County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies made the arrest following an investigation into a two-car personal injury accident.

Investigators determined Andreoli had violated a full stay-away order of protection by having the protected person as a passenger in his vehicle at the time of the crash.

Andreoli was arraigned at Centralized Arraignment and is scheduled to appear in Town of Exeter Court.
