SHARON — A Royalton man lost control of his vehicle on Interstate 89 north in Sharon during rainy conditions Friday afternoon, resulting in a rollover crash.

Kevin McPhee, 51, was traveling northbound in the passing lane near mile marker 12.8 around 2:30 p.m. when his 2005 Cadillac CTS hydroplaned due to water accumulation on the roadway.

The vehicle veered across the highway and onto the right shoulder before rolling several times, coming to rest near Exit 2.

McPhee and his passenger, Micah Benoit, 24, of Bethel, were both wearing seat belts and escaped injury in the crash.
