ROCKLAND — Rockland Police arrested a Warren man on multiple charges after officers discovered suspected narcotics during a traffic stop shortly after midnight on May 6.
Jason Olsen, 40, was taken into custody on several outstanding warrants, including violation of conditions of release and failure to appear on a prior drug charge.
Officers were conducting proactive patrols around a suspected drug trafficking location when they stopped a vehicle after recognizing Olsen, who they knew had active warrants.
During the arrest, police found several baggies of suspected narcotics, including fentanyl.
Police seized more than 20 grams of suspected drugs in total.
Olsen, who was already out on three sets of bail conditions, was charged with possession of schedule drugs and violation of conditions of release.
Additional charges, including felony aggravated trafficking, are expected, according to police.
Rockland Police officials noted that they regularly receive information from citizens about suspected drug trafficking locations throughout the city.
