CONQUEST — A Conquest man faces multiple charges after deputies responded to a domestic incident at a residence in the town, according to the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office.

Dale McCarthy was charged with forcible touching and weapons possession following an investigation that began April 24.

Sheriff Brian Schenck reported that deputies were dispatched to the Conquest Sheriff’s Substation after a victim alleged McCarthy had forcibly touched intimate parts of her body without consent.

Members of the Criminal Investigations Division executed a search warrant at McCarthy’s residence, where they discovered an illegally possessed muzzleloader and brass knuckles.

McCarthy was subsequently charged with forcible touching, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Following his arraignment at Centralized Arraignment, an order of protection was issued, and McCarthy was remanded to the Cayuga County Jail pending $5,000 bail or $10,000 bond.
