GREENWICH — A year-long investigation involving Greenwich police and federal authorities has resulted in the seizure of significant quantities of fentanyl and methamphetamine, along with the arrests of two Stamford men.

The operation began in March 2024 when Greenwich Police Department assisted the DEA in seizing one kilogram of fentanyl that had been shipped from Los Angeles to a Greenwich post office.

In April 2024, Greenwich PD’s Narcotics Unit helped the DEA Bridgeport office intercept a FedEx package containing approximately 30,000 fentanyl pills.

The joint investigation traced the drugs to a California-based source and identified Stamford resident Stanley Charles as the intended recipient in Connecticut.

DEA agents subsequently seized 60 pounds of methamphetamine and 5 kilograms of fentanyl in California.

On April 7, federal agents arrested Tasean Brown and Stanley Charles, both charged with Conspiracy and Possession with Intent to Distribute Controlled Substances.
