CINCINNATUS — A 40-year-old woman was arrested after allegedly stealing money from an employee’s wallet at a local Dollar General store.
Katie C. Pittsley of Cincinnatus Road was charged with petit larceny and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, both misdemeanors, according to the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to the Dollar General at 2717 State Route 26 at approximately 8:49 p.m. on April 30 following a larceny complaint.
Investigators determined Pittsley had taken money from an employee’s wallet and was also in possession of a controlled substance when arrested at 10:03 p.m.
Pittsley was processed at the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office and released on appearance tickets.
She is scheduled to appear for arraignment in Cincinnatus Town Court on May 21 at 7:30 p.m.
