Rhode Island state police make 4 arrests overnight in Providence area

PROVIDENCE — Rhode Island State Police arrested four individuals overnight on various charges following traffic stops in Providence and Pawtucket.

At 11:17 p.m., troopers arrested Shadae Leander, 29, of Newport, Rhode Island, for possession of less than 10 grams of crack cocaine after a traffic stop on Cranston Street in Providence.

Leander was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released with a future court date in 6th District Court.

At 12:25 a.m., Eros Gautier, 29, of West Warwick, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for domestic disorderly conduct from the West Warwick Police Department following a traffic stop on Atwells Avenue in Providence.

Gautier was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks before being transferred to West Warwick Police custody.

At 1:16 a.m., troopers arrested Cristian Aguilera, 30, of Attleboro, Massachusetts, for reckless driving, obstructing a police officer, and driving with a suspended license after a traffic stop on Thurston Street in Pawtucket.

Aguilera was held at the Lincoln Woods Barracks pending morning arraignment at Sixth Division District Court.

During the same traffic stop in Pawtucket, troopers also arrested Julia Argueta, 29, of Pawtucket, for obstruction of a police officer.

Argueta was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released with a future court date in Sixth Division District Court.
