Rhode Island man arrested on warrants after vehicle disabled on Route 95

RICHMOND — Troopers arrested Nicolas C. Cleary, 28, of South Kingstown, Rhode Island, on multiple bench warrants early Tuesday after responding to a disabled vehicle on Route 95.

The arrest occurred at 1 a.m. when state police encountered Cleary with his disabled vehicle in Richmond.

Cleary, of 18 Railroad Avenue, was wanted on a Third Division District Court bench warrant for failure to appear for a pretrial conference on a charge of driving with a suspended license from the Warwick Police Department.

He also faced a Fourth Division District Court bench warrant for failure to appear for a pretrial conference on another driving with suspended license charge from the South Kingstown Police Department.

Troopers transported Cleary to the Hope Valley Barracks for processing before taking him to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake Center.
