NAUGATUCK — A local man was arrested after allegedly threatening an Uber Eats driver with a firearm during a food delivery, police said.
Carlos Diaz, 41, of Naugatuck, was taken into custody without incident at 679 Rubber Avenue around 9:30 p.m. on May 3.
Officers responded to the location after the delivery driver reported being threatened with a gun during a delivery.
Diaz was charged with first-degree threatening, second-degree breach of peace, and carrying a dangerous weapon.
He was initially held on a $150,000 bond, which was later posted at $50,000.
Following the arrest, officers obtained consent to search Diaz’s apartment, where they seized multiple firearms and ammunition.
No injuries were reported during the incident.
Diaz is scheduled to appear in court on June 4.
