Napoli man arrested after fleeing police through Little Valley

NAPOLI — The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office arrested two Little Valley men after a high-speed chase that ended in a field in the Town of Coldspring on May 5.

Austin J. Harkins, 24, and Devin M. Frisicaro, 29, were taken into custody after deputies spotted their vehicle speeding through the Village of Little Valley.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies were investigating reports of a vehicle that had fled from Salamanca Police Department during an attempted traffic stop on Rt. 353 from Center St.

Deputies attempted to stop the vehicle after observing it run through a stop sign at high speed in Little Valley.

The vehicle continued to flee until Harkins, who was driving, lost control in a field at the intersection of Tyler Whitmore Rd and Lebanon Rd in Coldspring.

Harkins was charged with unlawful fleeing, reckless driving, operating a motor vehicle while license suspended 3rd degree, and other traffic violations.

He was processed and released with an appearance ticket.

Frisicaro was discovered to have a violation of parole warrant issued through the NYS Department of Corrections.

He was transported to the Cattaraugus County Jail where he remains in custody.
