GOUVERNEUR — The Gouverneur Police Department has released its police blotter covering April 9 to May 5, documenting numerous arrests and citations throughout the community.
Madison R. McIntosh, 24, of Gouverneur, was charged on April 9 at 10:22 a.m. for unsafe backing and leaving the scene of a property damage accident after allegedly hitting a wheelbarrow on Snow Street.
On April 10, Amber N. Roberts, 46, of Gouverneur, was arrested for petit larceny after allegedly stealing CeraVe lotions valued at $58.97 from Price Chopper.
That same day, Austin L. Bush, 31, of Massena, was arrested on a warrant for petit larceny during a traffic stop on East Main Street.
Gregory R. Fifield, 38, of Gouverneur, was charged with unsafe start, aggravated unlicensed operation, and reckless driving after allegedly squealing his tires in reverse on Snow Street, nearly hitting a parked truck.
On April 13, David C. Ludwig, 54, of Canton, was arrested at the Gouverneur McDonald’s for felony criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a firearm after allegedly being found with a handgun and a 12-round capacity magazine.
Multiple arrests for petit larceny occurred throughout the month, including Shayne D. Miller, 34, who was charged on April 18 for allegedly stealing a Dremel accessory kit valued at $31.99 from Small Town Supply.
The blotter also documented several arrests for disorderly conduct, criminal contempt, and trespassing, as well as multiple emergency mental health admissions where subjects were transported to Claxton Hepburn Medical Center.
On May 1, Brittney A. Barr, 33, of Gouverneur, was arrested following a three-car accident on East Main Street and charged with felony aggravated unlicensed operation, operating while vehicle suspended, following too closely, and operating without insurance.
The police department processed numerous bench warrants throughout the reporting period for individuals who had failed to appear in court for previous charges.
