LITTLETON — The Littleton Police Department announced Tuesday it is reviewing a detailed public complaint regarding several alleged incidents that occurred on the evening of May 3.

The department stated it takes all misconduct allegations seriously and is reviewing the matter according to established policies and procedures.

“The core values of the Littleton Police Department—Service, Respect, Integrity, and Pride—guide everything we do,” the department said in a press release issued at 9 a.m.

Police officials said any formal complaint received will be thoroughly documented and investigated, including interviews, evidence collection, and oversight by command staff.

The department declined to comment on specific facts due to the ongoing review.

“We want to assure the public that accountability, transparency, and due process are integral to how we respond to concerns,” the statement read.

Police Chief Paul J. Smith emphasized the department remains committed to the safety and rights of every community member.
