Carmel man charged with damaging town recreation fields

CARMEL — The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office has charged a 19-year-old local man with causing approximately $22,000 in damage to town recreation fields.

Jordan Warman of Carmel faces a Class C felony charge of aggravated criminal mischief following an investigation into vandalism that occurred overnight on April 28.

Deputies responded to a criminal mischief complaint after someone drove onto the recreational field and ballpark in Carmel, causing extensive damage to the grounds.

Following what officials described as a thorough investigation, the Sheriff’s Office identified Warman as a person of interest before filing charges.

The incident remains under investigation by the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office.
