MARYLAND — A local man was arrested on multiple vehicle and traffic violations following a traffic stop in the town of Maryland, according to the Otsego County Sheriff’s Office.
Derek S. Jordan, 44, of Maryland, was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree after deputies discovered he was driving with a suspended New York State driver’s license during the stop on April 27.
Jordan also faces charges of unlicensed operation, failure to keep right, improper turn signal, improper plates, unregistered motor vehicle, uninspected motor vehicle, operating without insurance, and having more than one registration sticker.
According to the sheriff’s office, the traffic stop revealed Jordan had swapped registration plates on the vehicle.
Jordan was issued uniform traffic tickets and an appearance ticket to appear in Maryland Town Court at a later date.
