SOUTH WINDSOR — A South Windsor man was arrested Friday night after police say he violated protective orders and barricaded himself with a juvenile inside a residence.

Jason D. Diulio, 45, faces charges of risk of injury to a child, interfering with an officer, disorderly conduct, and two counts of violation of a protective order.

South Windsor police responded to a domestic violence incident at 9:53 p.m. on May 2.

Officers determined Diulio had violated two active protective orders by yelling at the victim and throwing objects at the victim’s residence while a juvenile was present.

When police attempted to make contact with Diulio, he locked officers out of the home and moved items in front of the door, attempting to barricade himself and the juvenile inside.

Police eventually gained entry to the residence, but Diulio continued to be non-compliant.

Officers deployed a Taser to safely take Diulio into custody.

He was processed and released on a $25,000 surety bond.

Diulio is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court at 9 a.m. today.
