TROY — Kervin Tribble pleaded guilty to one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, a Class C violent felony, Rensselaer County District Attorney Mary Pat Donnelly announced Tuesday.

The charge stems from Tribble’s possession of a loaded firearm on April 25, 2024, at 41 Douw Street in Troy.

Tribble will receive a sentence of 10 years in state prison followed by 5 years of post-release supervision and must forfeit over $20,000.

The case resulted from a Troy Police Department Special Operation Section drug investigation that led to the execution of a search warrant at the Douw Street address.

During the search, authorities found Tribble with a loaded pistol, over a half ounce of fentanyl, over a half ounce of cocaine, drug paraphernalia indicative of distribution, and cash.

The case was prosecuted under the Gun Involved Violence Elimination (GIVE) Initiative by Chief Assistant District Attorney Spencer Lane.

Tribble is scheduled to be sentenced on June 6 by Judge Young.
