Springfield man crashes into steakhouse, faces DUI charge

SPRINGFIELD — A 54-year-old Andover man faces a driving under the influence charge after allegedly crashing his vehicle into a local restaurant Friday afternoon.

Springfield police responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash at the Black Rock Steak House at 1:56 p.m. on April 18.

Officers identified the driver as Tyler Keith of Andover, according to a police department press release.

Police observed signs of impairment and conducted a field sobriety screening at the scene.

Keith was taken into custody and transported to the Springfield Police Department for processing.

Following processing, Keith was issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, in Woodstock on May 6 at 8:30 a.m. to answer to the alleged charge of driving under the influence.

He was subsequently released.
