NORTH HAVEN — Police arrested a 21-year-old Manchester man after responding to reports of vehicles doing donuts and burnouts near BJ’s Wholesale on Universal Drive.
Officers arrived at the scene at approximately 1:30 a.m. on May 3, causing multiple vehicles to scatter.
Police observed a black Jetta traveling at a high rate of speed with no lights on and illegally passing other vehicles.
Officers obtained the vehicle’s license plate and tracked down the owner, who admitted to being the driver.
Tyler Peek, 21, of Manchester, was taken into custody and charged with failure to have lights lit and devices illuminated, reckless driving, and failing to stop when signaled/disobeying direction of officer.
