Motorcycle crash in Tewksbury leaves Billerica man seriously injured

TEWKSBURY — A 45-year-old Billerica man suffered serious injuries when his motorcycle crashed on Rogers Street Friday night, according to Tewksbury Police Chief Ryan Columbus.

The single-vehicle crash occurred May 2 at approximately 7:45 p.m. near 144 Rogers St.

Tewksbury Police and Fire Departments responded to the scene and found that the motorcycle had left the roadway and struck an embankment.

Road conditions were wet at the time of the crash, officials said.

No other vehicles were involved in the incident.

The injured motorcyclist was transported by medical helicopter to a regional trauma center.

The crash remains under investigation by the Tewksbury Police Department, with assistance from the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and Crime Scene Services Section.
