Man fatally shot in Dorchester neighborhood

BOSTON — A man was shot and killed late Saturday night in Boston’s Dorchester neighborhood, according to police officials.

Officers from District B-2 responded to reports of a shooting near the intersection of Blue Hill Avenue and Georgia Street at approximately 11 p.m. on May 3.

Upon arrival, officers found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was transported by Boston Emergency Medical Services to Boston Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.

The Boston Police Department’s Homicide Unit has launched an investigation into the shooting.

Authorities are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact the Homicide Unit at 617-343-4470.
