Barn fire in Cambria injures homeowner

CAMBRIA — A barn fire in the 3500 block of Lower Mountain Road sent one person to the hospital Saturday morning.

The Niagara County Sheriff’s Communication Center received a 911 call reporting smoke and flames coming from the barn at approximately 8:49 a.m. on May 3.

Multiple fire companies responded to the scene and confirmed a working fire in the structure.

Firefighters successfully extinguished the blaze, which affected a barn used to house multiple vehicles and machines.

The homeowner suffered minor burns and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The Niagara County Fire Investigation Unit is investigating the cause of the fire.

No damage estimate is available at this time.
