BRIDGEPORT — A second suspect has been arrested in connection with the 2020 fatal shooting of a 21-year-old man inside the Keystone nightclub.
Quinten Mckoy, 33, of Bridgeport, was charged Friday with murder, criminal possession of a firearm and carrying a pistol without a permit in the death of Nyair Nixon.
Nixon, also a Bridgeport resident, was shot in the torso inside the crowded club during the early morning hours of Sept. 27, 2020.
Detectives determined the shooting resulted from a dispute inside the club.
Nixon stumbled outside and collapsed at the intersection of Barnum Avenue and Bishop Avenue after being shot.
He was transported to Bridgeport Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Mckoy, also known by the street name “Quack,” is currently incarcerated on an unrelated case.
Detective Thomas Harper of the Homicide Unit served Mckoy with the murder warrant at Bridgeport Superior Court on Friday morning.
Charles Young was previously charged with Nixon’s murder.
The Bridgeport Office of the State’s Attorney and the Bridgeport Police Department’s Homicide Unit continued investigating the case, with additional evidence leading to Mckoy’s arrest.
The investigation revealed Young and Mckoy were together inside the club and left together after the shooting.
